The action starts on the estate of Sir James Bond (Niven), long retired from the British Secret Service, where his former boss M (Huston) implores him to return to active service, as does the head of the CIA (Holden), the KGB (Kasznar) and the French Deuxieme Bureau (Boyer). Casino Royale is a wild and convoluted mess, but it's a fun movie, specially now because it's so dated. This movie's famous slogan is "Casino Royale is too much.for one James Bond!" and they weren't kidding because it's also too much for any viewer to follow, that's okay because this is not an official adaptation of Ian Fleming's story, it's actually a spoof of James Bond movies and the whole spy genre in general.
